Scottish star James McAvoy: 'I got injured while filming sex scenes'

Scottish star James McAvoy, who was filming an improvised group sex scene for his latest film 'Turn Up The Sun!', recounted how he fell to the ground and injured his knee during the shoot.

'IT WAS AN IMPROVISED SCENE'

Speaking to Martin Compston and Gordon Smart on the 'Restless Natives' podcast, McAvoy revealed the strange moment that occurred on set in February with the following words:

“The second to last day of filming ended with about nine of us shooting a group sex scene. It was an improvised scene. It was intense, we had all had a lot of whiskey, there was nudity and kissing.

There is a wonderful Spanish actress named Almudena Amor, and we were shooting a scene with her. We weren't supposed to be funny about it, and we carried on properly. She is taller than me, like 6'3". At one point I was holding her upside down and we were doing something weird, and someone grabbed me by the nape of my neck and started biting my neck." 

'I GOT INJURED'

This movement caused the actor to lose his balance, resulting in him taking a big tumble.

The 44-year-old actor, who hit his knee hard on the ground, said, "I think that was the only time I've ever been injured while making a film."
