Shocking penalty for Hasan Can Kaya's Konuşanlar program! RTÜK explains the reasoning

The Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) has placed the Konuşanlar program, hosted by Hasan Can Kaya, under scrutiny as part of its oversight efforts regarding digital broadcasting platforms. As a result of the board's evaluation, it was ruled that Disney+ be issued an administrative fine of two percent and that the program be removed from the platform's catalog.

Assessment that moral boundaries were crossed

In the RTÜK report, it was stated that the program frequently featured slang and profanity, and that behaviors such as infidelity, gambling, and the like were presented as commonplace. It was emphasized that this broadcasting language does not align with society's general understanding of morality and could have a negative impact on viewers. The board concluded that the content violated the provision in Law No. 6112 stating that "broadcasts contrary to general morality cannot be made."

Sanctions also applied to television series

At the same meeting, a sanction decision was made regarding the series Veliaht, broadcast on Show TV, on the grounds that violence was normalized in the episodes aired in December 2025. The series Halef: Köklerin Çağrısı, broadcast on NOW TV, was issued a two percent administrative fine upon the determination that infidelity and polygamy were normalized and that women were represented in a degrading manner.

Additional penalties for programs and music platforms

The Efsane Futbol program, broadcast on NOW TV, was fined one percent due to product placement practices exceeding established limits. Regarding Spotify, it was decided to remove certain content from the catalog and impose a two percent administrative fine due to the density of slang and profanity in some songs and playlists.
