French singer Françoise Hardy has passed away at the age of 80.

The singer, who gained international fame with her song “Tous les garçons et les filles” during her music career that began in 1962, had been receiving cancer treatment for a long time.

The famous singer, who had been battling various types of cancer since 2004, had become one of the staunchest advocates for euthanasia.

Throughout her career, she had worked with names such as Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones, as well as Bob Dylan, Serge Gainsbourg, and Patrick Modiano.

The death of the famous singer was announced by her son, Thomas Dutronc. Dutronc shared the message "Mom is gone" on his Instagram account.
