Special music video for Aşık Veysel composition from qanun virtuoso Göksel Baktagir

A music video has been filmed for the piece "A Composition of Loyalty in Veysel's Land," which was specially composed for Aşık Veysel by the composer and qanun virtuoso Göksel Baktagir, a recipient of the Presidential Culture and Arts Grand Award.

According to a statement from the Governor's Office, the Sivas Governor's Office Provincial Directorate of Press and Public Relations prepared the special music video for Baktagir's composition as part of the UNESCO World Aşık Veysel Year events.

Göksel Baktagir's piece, "A Composition of Loyalty in Veysel's Land," which he first performed with the Galata Quartet at the Saznağme Concert in front of the Buruciye Madrasa on September 16, had received great acclaim.

The music video for the composition was filmed in front of several historical sites, primarily Sivrialan village in Şarkışla, where Aşık Veysel was born and raised, as well as the Double Minaret Madrasa, the Şifaiye Madrasa, the Buruciye Madrasa, the Industrial School Museum, the Atatürk Congress Museum, and other locations.

In the video, Göksel Baktagir performs the piece he composed on the qanun. The video, which also includes footage of the Aşık Veysel Museum located in his village of Sivrialan and Aşık Veysel's grave, was published on the Sivas Governor's Office's social media accounts.
