Statement from the production company of the film 'Cem Karaca'nın Gözyaşları'

İlkim Karaca, the last wife of Cem Karaca, who passed away on February 8, 2004, had applied to the court on the grounds that her approval was not obtained for the film 'Cem Karaca'nın Gözyaşları'.

Following the incident brought to light by 12punto, it was decided that the screening of the film would be halted if Karaca deposited the determined 3.5 million TL collateral with the court.

'3.5 MILLION TL MUST BE DEPOSITED'

The film's production company, Aytaç Medya, made the following statement after the court decision:

"In order for the injunction decision taken within the scope of the lawsuit process to be implemented, 3.5 million TL must be deposited with the court by the person who filed the lawsuit by Friday, February 2.

As of January 26, because this amount has not been deposited, our film continues to meet its audience across Turkey and be watched in movie theaters.

We invite our audience to protect the legacy of Cem Karaca and, just as in the past, to not leave our great master alone today and to support his art..."
