TCG Nusret Museum Ship opened to visitors
The TCG Nusret Museum Ship, which serves as the world's first and only floating museum ship and was designed in accordance with the original, has been opened to the public in İzmir for the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day.
The TCG Nusret Museum Ship, built in 2011 in accordance with the original ship's plans by the Naval Forces Command to keep alive the memory of the heroic Nusret Minelayer, one of the key elements of the Gallipoli Naval Battle, docked at İzmir Konak Pier for April 23.
Many citizens visited the museum ship, and the soldiers on duty provided information to the families on board.
Additionally, a concert was performed in front of the ship by the Southern Sea Area Command band.
It was stated that the TCG Nusret Museum Ship will set sail tomorrow and will be opened to visitors in the Kuşadası district of Aydın on April 26.
