Cinemas were packed once again last weekend. The 1 million threshold was exceeded again, and 'Lohusa' became the most-watched film.
In the first weeks of 2024, cinemas continue to see intense interest despite the lingering effects of the pandemic. For the first time since March 2022, the number of moviegoers visiting cinemas exceeded 1 million the previous weekend.
This success was repeated last weekend, reaching 1 million 96 thousand viewers across cinemas where 32 films were being screened.
According to Boxoffice Türkiye data, the film 'Lohusa' became the most-watched movie of the weekend with 272 thousand viewers. It was followed by 'Kolpaçino 4' with 270 thousand viewers. 'Kolpaçino 4' also managed to surpass the 1 million threshold in its second week.
The surprise film of the previous week, '3391 Kilometre', was watched by 144 thousand people over the weekend, completing its second week with a total of 643 thousand viewers. The fourth film of last year's most-watched animated movie series, 'Rafadan Tayfa', surpassed the 1 million threshold in its fourth week, reaching 1 million 294 thousand viewers.
