The IMM City Theatres' grand Turkey tour begins!
As part of its 110th-anniversary celebrations, the IMM City Theatres is embarking on an extensive tour across Turkey.
The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) City Theatres will meet theatre lovers across Turkey with its Grand Turkey Tour, organized as part of its 110th-anniversary events.
The tour will begin in Eskişehir and Ankara, continuing to provinces such as Antalya, Gaziantep, Diyarbakır, and Van. The first performance will take place in Eskişehir on March 19, 2025, with Mikhail Bulgakov's work "Heart of a Dog." Following this, Leo Tolstoy's "War and Peace" will be staged in Ankara on March 23.

General Artistic Director Ayşegül İşsever stated the following regarding the tour: "Now it is time for the Grand Turkey Tour. We are planning a major, two-legged tour covering 7 regions. We will realize this first in Eskişehir on March 19. The audience in Eskişehir will embrace 'Heart of a Dog.' Afterwards, we will go to our capital, Ankara. We will meet with the Ankara audience. We will bring the audience together with Tolstoy's unforgettable work, a cornerstone of world literature, 'War and Peace,' directed by Aleksandar Popovski. We are very excited. On March 24, as the entire City Theatres family, we will visit our Great Leader Atatürk at his final resting place with an official ceremony. We are very proud. We are very happy about this visit. Immediately afterwards, we will move on to Antalya. Yaşar Kemal's 'The Legend of Mount Ararat' will meet the audience for two days. Following that, Gaziantep, Diyarbakır, Van... We will continue like this. We are very excited. The countdown has begun. We are counting the days."
The tour aims to provide unforgettable moments for theatre lovers in different regions of Turkey. With this event, the IMM City Theatres aims to both popularize the arts and increase cultural interaction.
