Tunç Kurt wins the Gülten Dayıoğlu 2023 Children's Novel Award
The winner of this year's Children's Novel Award, presented by the Gülten Dayıoğlu Children's and Youth Literature Foundation, is Tunç Kurt for his novel "Professor 104 - Nuclear Age."
According to the statement made by the foundation, the recipient of the Children's Novel Award, which is organized annually to contribute to the development of a new generation of writers who use Turkish accurately and simply, has been determined.
A total of 42 works competed this year for the Gülten Dayıoğlu Children's and Youth Literature Foundation Children's Novel Award, which features original works in terms of language, narrative, and content that are suitable for the reality of children, written for readers aged 9-12, and have not been published before.
Among the works evaluated by the selection committee consisting of Prof. Dr. Selahattin Dilidüzgün, Prof. Dr. Sedat Sever, Dr. Kemal Ateş, Adnan Binyazar, and Mavisel Yener, Tunç Kurt's novel titled "Professor 104 - Nuclear Age" was deemed worthy of this year's award.
The award and certificate will be presented to Kurt at a ceremony to be held at Bahçeşehir University on May 15.
