Turkey's most used online series and movie platforms revealed

The latest status of the Turkish market regarding online series and movie streaming platforms has been announced by JustWatch. It was stated that BluTV has maintained the leadership it has held for many years into the first quarter of 2024.

According to the report in Webtekno, JustWatch, which shows which platform a series or movie can be found on and consolidates watchlists from different platforms, has published the ranking of the most widely used online platforms in Turkey. The data for the first quarter of 2024 revealed the expected results.

Although Netflix is the most popular online platform worldwide, the situation in Turkey differs. BluTV stood out as Turkey's most preferred series and movie platform in the first quarter of 2024 as well.

The market shares of online series and movie platforms in Turkey are ranked as follows:

BluTV: 38%

Netflix: 28%

Amazon Prime Video: 19%

Disney+: 7%

MUBI: 5%

Other: 3%

According to JustWatch data, while BluTV continues its leadership by a clear margin, it was observed that Netflix follows it. Additionally, while an increase in Netflix's subscriber count was observed as of January 2024, it was noted that there was a slight decline in BluTV subscribers.
