Turkish Education Foundation commemorates theater actress Zehra Macide Tanır at her graveside

State artist Zehra Macide Tanır, one of the valuable theater artists raised in the history of the Republic, was commemorated by the Turkish Education Foundation (TEV) at her graveside on the 11th anniversary of her passing.

The commemoration ceremony, which took place on Tuesday, February 6, at Emirgan Cemetery, was attended by officials and scholarship recipients of the Turkish Education Foundation, to which the master theater actress donated all her assets, as well as her relatives and friends.

'SHE LEFT A MARK IN OUR MEMORIES'

TEV General Manager Banu Taşkın stated the following about the artist, who donated all her assets to TEV: "Our precious donor Zehra Macide Tanır, as one of the leading names in Turkish theater, left a mark in our memories not only with her career but also with her exemplary artistic personality.

Tanır had made it her goal to support young people with her belief in the power of education for the bright future of our country. We are very happy to be with her on this path, to keep her name alive through scholarships, and to carry her legacy to future generations."
