'Turkish Festival' to be held in Chicago

The festival, which will be held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in the Rosemont area, will begin with an opening program that will also be attended by senators and congressional representatives.

The first day of the festival will feature a program on Turkish cuisine, as well as performances by whirling dervishes and the Tiyatro Külliye.

On the same day, there will be a screening of the Turkish film 'Ayla,' which tells the true story of a Korean orphan girl who was cared for by Turkish soldiers who participated in the Korean War.
