Two major art exhibitions at Pera Museum! When can they be visited?

The "There Is Much Work to Do" and "Dancing with the Moonlight" exhibitions, prepared as part of the 20th anniversary of the Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation Pera Museum, opened to visitors as of March 20.

'THERE IS MUCH WORK TO DO' (SAMİH RİFAT)

"There Is Much Work to Do" is an exhibition that aims to explore the creative process of Samih Rifat, an important figure in the cultural world known for his photographs, translations, documentaries, and writings, and to understand this "thousand-talented" intellectual whom we lost too early, based on his works that we can define as "an act of art and thought" that never compromised on ethics and aesthetics. 

The esteemed artist Samih Rifat, who passed away in 2007, is commemorated in the exhibition titled "There Is Much Work to Do" through his photographs, translations, documentaries, and writings. 

The exhibition reveals Rifat's creative process and his ethical and aesthetic approach. Rifat, who had an architectural education but produced works in different fields, is known for his photography, translation, and documentary filmmaking. 

The exhibition, which includes Rifat's photographs, books, and documents, makes a significant contribution to the world of art and thought, showcasing his contributions to the world of art and culture.

The exhibition will be open to visitors at the Pera Museum from March 20 to August 17.

'DANCING WITH THE MOONLIGHT' (MARCEL DZAMA)

Canadian artist Marcel Dzama has opened his first solo exhibition in Turkey at the Pera Museum. 

Curated by Alistair Hicks, the exhibition consists of works that start from Dzama's colorful imaginary world and touch upon the disasters caused by poor governance, environmental destruction, and wars that we face today.

In addition to works in different media such as painting, drawing, and film, the exhibition also includes collaborative works that Dzama created with his friend Raymond Pettibon.

The exhibition, which began on March 20, will be on display at the Pera Museum until August 17.
