Two major awards for Turkish cinema at the Berlin Film Festival
Turkish cinema made a name for itself at the Berlin Film Festival. İlker Çatak won the Golden Bear, the festival's top prize, with his film "Yellow Envelopes" (Sarı Zarflar). Emin Alper was awarded the Silver Bear for his film "Liberation" (Kurtuluş).
At the 76th Berlin Film Festival (Berlinale) held this year, the Golden Bear award was won by "Yellow Envelopes" (Sarı Zarflar), directed by İlker Çatak and starring Özgü Namal and Tansu Biçer.
The Berlinale Grand Jury Prize was awarded to Emin Alper's film "Liberation" (Kurtuluş).

PLOT OF THE FILM "YELLOW ENVELOPES"
In the film "Yellow Envelopes," Özgü Namal (Derya) and Tansu Biçer (Aziz) share the lead roles. The film brings to the big screen the journey of a couple who lose their jobs and home in a single night, as they struggle between their ideals and the desire to survive alongside their 13-year-old daughter, Ezgi.
