An unforgettable night in Gömeç with Zuhal Olcay and Oğuz Aksaç
Zuhal Olcay and Oğuz Aksaç took the stage at the 4th Gömeç Culture, Art, and Peace Festival, providing an unforgettable night filled with music and art for tens of thousands of spectators.
Master of stage and screen Zuhal Olcay and beloved artist Oğuz Aksaç took the stage at the 4th Culture, Art, and Peace Festival held in Gömeç. The duo, watched by approximately 15 thousand people, gave the residents of Gömeç an unforgettable night with their performances.
''THE REASON PEOPLE LOOK YOUNG IS THE ENERGY THEY CARRY WITHIN''
Stating that "Theater gives me energy, and I give energy to the theater," Zuhal Olcay continued her words as follows: ''I read an article; it says the reason people who look younger than they are look young is not gymnastics, nutrition, aesthetics, or this and that—of course, those are very beneficial—but rather the energy they carry within them. I looked and saw that I have it too. But I won't give a evasive answer; I take great care of my facial maintenance, I have very dear doctors, dermatologists. Very new things are coming out, new vitamins... I don't use fillers; fillers make the face look larger, wider, and it looks very bad. I believe in my energy very much; I strongly believe that a person's inner energy keeps them vigorous.
The Bald Soprano has been a very important part of my life for the past 2 years. Theater gives me energy, I give energy to the theater, but the theater gives me more energy. The stage, concerts, the adrenaline rush we get as a requirement of our job when we go on stage—that also keeps us vigorous. Therefore, we live like this: Run or you will fall.
''I HAD ALWAYS WANTED A MUSICAL AFTER EVITA''
The rehearsals for Don Quixote are very tiring but very enjoyable. I did the Evita musical years ago, and ever since then, I have had a very strong desire to do a musical like that again. Işıl Kasapoğlu is directing it, and I am with Selçuk Yöntem and Cengiz Bozkurt. We have a very beautiful young team, our dancers, the choir, the orchestra... It will be a fascinating work that the audience will watch with great pleasure.''
''WE NEED TO STOP LOOKING AT THE SHELF''
Stating that he will try to touch people's hearts, Oğuz Aksaç said; ''I go on stage and define the culture that this country has fermented. When the music industry is thought of sectorally, it turns into a market. If something is put on a shelf and sold from the shelf, that product finds its place at market values. We need to stop looking at the shelf. We will not try to stop young people from looking at the shelf. We will do what we feel and try to touch people's hearts.''
