'Duored' music group performed a half-hour classical music concert at the historic Surp Giragos Armenian Church, located in the Sur district of Diyarbakır.

The group's guitarist, Umut Volkan Yılmaz, said that both the Mardin concert and the concert in Diyarbakır went very well for them.

'WE ARRANGED SOME OF THE PIECES'

Stating that they enjoy combining music with historical venues, Yılmaz said, "Our repertoire consists mainly of the classical period. In addition to this, it includes composers from the modern and romantic periods.

We arranged some of the pieces ourselves and adapted them for guitar and violin. The acoustics of churches are very beautiful. We are also professionally nourished by this," he said.

Violin virtuoso Seda Gülşen Kınış recalled that they first started their concerts in Mardin and then performed here.

'IT IS VERY ENJOYABLE TO MEET HERE'

Stating that performing a concert inside such historical structures is a very beautiful experience, Kınış said, "It was very enjoyable and exciting to meet with the audience here. It is much different than performing in a normal concert hall. We are very excited and happy to be here," she said.
