Who is Aytaç Doğan, known as the 'uncle who plays the kanun'?

Aytaç Doğan is a musician born in Bursa on January 6, 1976. He began his musical career at the age of 13 with a kanun brought home by his grandfather. When he was just 14, he shared the stage with İbrahim Tatlıses and subsequently moved to Istanbul, where he had the opportunity to work with various artists.

Doğan drew attention with his single-plectrum technique and his own unique style, making a name for himself in the music world. Meeting Mısırlı Ahmet gave him the chance to encounter different cultures, which led him to live in the Arab world for a period.

Throughout his musical career, Aytaç Doğan has taken part in various projects, collaborated with many international artists, and participated in festivals all over the world. In 2007, he formed the group Taksim Trio together with Hüsnü Şenlendirici and İsmail Tunçbilek, and they released their first self-titled album on October 1, 2007.
