With a 63-year history: The Reşat Nuri Stage in Fatih is being rebuilt
The Reşat Nuri Stage, one of the venues affiliated with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality City Theatres, is being rebuilt. It was reported that the new stage will have a seating capacity of 379.
The groundbreaking ceremony held the other day was attended by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, IMM Deputy Secretary General Oktay Özel, IMM Head of Culture Department Tolga Volkan Aslan, City Theatres Manager Oytun Askeroğlu, City Theatres General Artistic Director Ayşegül İşsever, Deputy General Artistic Directors Emrah Özertem, Can Başak, Tankut Yıldız, and artists Zihni Göktay, Cem Karakaya, Yıldıray Şahinler, Sevil Akı, Bahtiyar Engin, and Ertan Kılıç.
THE STAGE CONSISTS OF 5 MOVABLE PARTS
A flexible arena stage capable of meeting new needs has been designed for the venue, which has a seating capacity of 379. The stage consists of 5 movable parts.
The stage depth can be increased when necessary, and the front stage can be lowered to form an orchestra pit according to requirements.
Telescopic stands placed on 4 sides of the stage can be opened and folded, allowing for flexible use of the hall.
When the stages are lowered to floor level and the telescopic stands are folded, a net usage area of 460 m² is created.
