Yapı Kredi bomontiada hosts Austrian female artists

The exhibition, which features examples of contemporary Austrian art, will meet the audience at Yapı Kredi bomontiada GALERİ between March 29 and April 12, 2026. The exhibition brings together photographer Ulrike Köb's works focusing on ecological issues and the interdisciplinary works of the artist collective Die 4 Grazien, which center on themes of gender and identity.

Ecology and Consumption Habits: The first part of the exhibition features photographer Ulrike Köb's series titled "Reuse-Reduce-Rethink." In her work, Köb examines the concept of sustainability using plastic waste, everyday consumer objects, and food. The works record current ecological issues such as the environmental impact of waste, the consequences of fast fashion, and the use of water resources in an objective language.

Social Roles and Female Identity: The other part of the exhibition is dedicated to the Vienna-based collective Die 4 Grazien, consisting of Mela Diamant, Susanna Schwarz, and G. Maria Wetter. Founded in 2002 at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, the collective showcases its production in painting, graphic arts, and textiles, as well as photography and video. The collective's work primarily examines topics such as female identity, cultural representations, consumer society, and the conditions surrounding the production processes of female artists.
