Yılmaz Morgül and Mert Demir crisis: 'I leave this person to my millions of listeners'
Singer Yılmaz Morgül, who performed and filmed a music video for Mert Demir's song "Ateşe Düştüm" in his own unique style, faced a copyright block. Morgül subsequently blamed Mert Demir.
Participating in the Aramızda Kalmasın program, Yılmaz Morgül had criticized singer Mert Demir's performance with the words, "I want to experience the song. I mean, tell me you've fallen into these fires, make me feel it."
Following this, Morgül sang the song in his own style and quickly became a trending topic on social media.
Thereupon, Morgül performed the song "Ateşe Düştüm" with his own interpretation, filmed a music video, and published it on YouTube.
However, Morgül's video was hit with a copyright block and was removed by MESAM/MSG.
"I LEAVE THIS PERSON TO MY LISTENERS"
Yılmaz Morgül spoke to 2. Sayfa regarding the incident. Morgül said, "I am very sad. Generation Z is also in revolt! The work was interpreted as it deserved; I sang it by living it. I leave this person to my millions of listeners."
Stating, "This ban came from Mert Demir," Morgül complained, "I tried to reach him many times. He is a very arrogant person. My interpretation is more legendary than his."
