1 arrest in Gülistan Doku investigation
A former police officer detained as part of the investigation into the disappearance of Gülistan Doku, who has not been heard from in Tunceli since January 5, 2020, has been arrested by judicial authorities.
Operations were carried out in 7 provinces on suspicion of murder in the investigation into the disappearance of Gülistan Doku, a 2nd-year student in the Child Development Department at Munzur University, who has been missing in Tunceli since January 5, 2020, and 13 suspects were detained.
Suspects E.E., G.E., S.G., and S.Ö., whose statements were completed at the Provincial Gendarmerie Command, were referred to the courthouse today.
Former police officer G.E., who is alleged to have deleted data from Gülistan Doku's SIM card, was arrested on charges of 'Obscuring Evidence and Harboring a Criminal' and sent to prison.
The processing of 3 suspects at the courthouse and 9 suspects at the gendarmerie is ongoing.
