1 soldier martyred in Claw-Lock operations
Infantry Specialist Sergeant Muhammed Emin Önk, who was seriously injured as a result of an improvised explosive device detonating in the Claw-Lock operation region, has been martyred at the hospital where he was receiving treatment.
The Ministry of National Defense announced that Infantry Specialist Sergeant Muhammed Emin Önk, who was seriously injured on August 3, 2024, as a result of the detonation of an improvised explosive device planted by members of the separatist terrorist organization in the Claw-Lock operation region, was martyred on August 20, 2024.
Önk, who was receiving treatment at Gülhane Training and Research Hospital, could not be saved despite all interventions and was martyred. In a statement following the incident, the Ministry stated, "We wish God's mercy upon our dear martyr who lost his life in this incident that has plunged us into deep pain and sorrow, and we extend our condolences and patience to his grieving family, the Turkish Armed Forces, and our noble nation."
