1 ton 23 kilograms of methamphetamine seized in Narkoçelik operations
Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced that 1 ton 23 kilograms of methamphetamine were seized during the "Narkoçelik-17" operations conducted against drug manufacturers, and that 6 suspects, including 1 foreign national, were apprehended.
Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya stated that, according to the information shared, as a result of the work carried out by the Istanbul Provincial Police Department's Anti-Narcotic Crimes Branch under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, "Narkoçelik-17" operations were conducted at 10 separate addresses and in 4 separate vehicles in the Kağıthane and Beylikdüzü districts of Istanbul, as well as the Güdül and Gölbaşı districts of Ankara.
As a result of the operations, a total of 1 ton 23 kilograms of methamphetamine, consisting of 955.5 kilograms of liquid methamphetamine and 67.5 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, 136 kilograms of acetone, and various amounts of cannabis were seized. 1 unlicensed pump-action shotgun and precision scales were also confiscated. Following the operations, a total of 6 suspects, including 1 foreign national, were taken into custody.
