Forest fires recently broke out in the Karşıyaka Yamanlar Mountain, Tire, Ödemiş, and Bayındır districts of İzmir, and an investigation into the fires was launched.
Within the scope of the investigations, 3 people in the Tire district, 2 in the Ödemiş district, and 4 in the Bayındır district were detained by gendarmerie teams.
In the fire that broke out due to a barbecue fire on Karşıyaka Yamanlar Mountain, 1 person was detained by police teams.
6 PEOPLE ARRESTED
Following their statements at the gendarmerie, 9 suspects were referred to the courthouse. While 3 people who were using a samovar in connection with the fire in Tire were arrested, 2 of the 4 suspects related to the fire in Bayındır were arrested, 1 was released under judicial control, and the other suspect was released after giving a statement.
The 2 suspects detained in Ödemiş were released on the condition of judicial control.
On the other hand, it was learned that the 1 person detained by police teams in connection with the forest fire that broke out due to a barbecue fire on Karşıyaka Yamanlar Mountain has also been arrested.
