10 suspects detained in connection with the kidnapping of IMM executive Karaal arrested
The 10 suspects detained in connection with the kidnapping of Erhan Karaal, Deputy General Manager of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Kültür A.Ş., have been arrested by the duty magistrate on charges of "robbery by way of blocking the road" and sent to prison.
A new development has occurred in the investigation regarding Erhan Karaal, Deputy General Manager of IMM Kültür A.Ş., who was kidnapped from in front of his home in Maltepe, Istanbul, and rescued after a 36-hour operation.
In previous operations, 12 suspects had been detained; of those referred to the courthouse, 6 were arrested, while judicial control measures were imposed on the other 6.
In subsequent operations, 10 more suspects were taken into custody.
It was announced that 4 of the suspects were involved in the kidnapping of Karaal. The 10 suspects, whose procedures at the police station were completed, were referred to the Anatolian Courthouse.
