100-year-old shoe brand files for concordat

The Urgan family, which has been producing shoes in Turkey since 1925, has entered the concordat process due to economic difficulties.

The family, which has been operating in the sector for three generations, filed for a concordat for its subsidiaries Efe Ayakkabıcılık, Panda Ayakkabıcılık, and Efe Otelcilik.

Hammer Jack, the family's most well-known brand, was not affected by this process and was not among the companies that filed for a concordat.

THREE-MONTH TEMPORARY RELIEF GRANTED

With the decision of the Bakırköy 1st Commercial Court of First Instance dated June 12, a committee of 3 concordat commissioners was appointed to evaluate the company's financial situation.

The examinations to be conducted and the report to be prepared during the 3-month temporary relief period will be decisive in the final decision to be made regarding the three companies in question.
