10th President Ahmet Necdet Sezer visits Anıtkabir to pay respects to Atatürk on the Republic's 100th anniversary
Ahmet Necdet Sezer, the 10th President of the Republic of Türkiye, visited Anıtkabir on the 100th anniversary of the Republic to pay his respects to the founding leader at his eternal resting place. Citizens competed to take photos with President Sezer, who is known for his humility.
Following the enthusiastic participation of millions yesterday on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic, 10th President Ahmet Necdet Sezer visited Anıtkabir today.

Arriving quietly at Anıtkabir with only a few bodyguards, Sezer was recognized by citizens as he descended the stairs after standing in silence before Atatürk's mausoleum.
Citizens applauded Ahmet Necdet Sezer and asked to take photos with him. Sezer, who did not turn down the requests for photos, especially from children, left Anıtkabir quietly.
