11-year-old missing person case solved: Body found in freezer in Kırıkkale
The body of Hüseyin Okumuşoğlu, who had been missing since 2014, was found in a deep freezer in an apartment in Kırıkkale. Four people connected to the woman who rented the apartment and passed away two weeks ago have been detained.
In Kırıkkale’s Çalılıöz neighborhood, the landlord, identified as C.Ç., entered an apartment on 11th Street with the help of a locksmith to check on a tenant from whom they had not heard for a long time. During the inspection inside, a male body wrapped in trash bags was found in a deep freezer.
IDENTITY OF THE MISSING MAN REVEALED AFTER 11 YEARS
Following investigations by police, medical teams, and crime scene investigators, it was determined that the body belonged to Hüseyin Okumuşoğlu, who had been missing for 11 years. Okumuşoğlu, a father of two, was laid to rest at the Yahşihan District Cemetery following a funeral prayer held in the morning.

THE WOMAN WHO RENTED THE APARTMENT HAD PASSED AWAY
The connection of Meliha Veske, who passed away on May 3 and was known to have handled the rent and utility payments for the apartment where the suspicious death occurred, is being investigated. Veske’s husband S.V., daughter S.V., son H.V., and nephew K.G. have been detained in connection with the incident.
Police are continuing their investigation into the cause of Hüseyin Okumuşoğlu’s death and how the body was kept in the freezer for years. The details regarding how the body was concealed and the specifics of the murder have not yet been clarified.
