Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya shared the details of the 'Mercek-6' operations on his social media account.
Stating that 1,129 suspects were detained in the last 4 days, Yerlikaya shared the following information via his X account:
"In the MERCEK-6 operations conducted over the last 4 days in 68 provinces against individuals carrying unlicensed weapons and arms smugglers; a total of 951 weapons were seized, including 754 unlicensed pistols, 20 long-barreled rifles, 49 blank-firing pistols, and 128 unlicensed hunting rifles. 1,129 suspects were detained."
