1,177 irregular migrants apprehended during the holiday!
Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced that 1,177 irregular migrants were apprehended during the Kalkan-19 inspections conducted over the Ramadan Feast holiday.
Kalkan-19 inspections targeting human smugglers and irregular migrants were carried out.
Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya reported that the identification details of 22,707 foreigners were checked during the first 5 days of the Ramadan Feast holiday, and 1,177 of them were found to be irregular migrants.
The apprehended irregular migrants were handed over to provincial migration management directorates, and deportation procedures were initiated.
