12 agreements signed between Turkey and Algeria

Following their one-on-one meeting at the Algerian Presidential Palace, Erdoğan and Algerian President Tebboune chaired the Second Meeting of the Turkey-Algeria High-Level Cooperation Council.

After the meeting, the signing ceremony for the agreements between the two countries was held in the presence of AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan and Algerian President Tebboune.

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ahmed Attaf signed the "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Protocol between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria," the "Protocol on Cooperation in the Field of Higher Education Scholarships between the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria," and the "Memorandum of Understanding between the National Library of Turkey of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey and the National Library of Algeria of the Ministry of Culture and Arts of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria."

Furthermore, Fidan and Attaf signed the "Agreement on Cinematographic Co-production between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria" and the "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Environment between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria."

"SISTER HOSPITAL AGREEMENT"

Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat and Algerian Minister of Trade and Export Promotion Tayeb Zitouni signed the "Agreement on Cooperation in the Fields of Consumer Protection, Market Surveillance and Inspection, and Quality Control of Products and Services between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria" and the "Joint Ministerial Declaration on the Intention to Sign a Preferential Trade Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria."

A "Sister Hospital Agreement between the Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital of the Republic of Turkey and the 'Severe Burns' Specialized Hospital Institution in Zeralda of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria" was signed by Deputy Minister of Health Tolga Tolunay and Secretary General of the Algerian Ministry of Health Mohamed Talhi.

President of the State Archives of the Presidency Uğur Ünal and Acting Director General of Algerian Archives Sami Athmani-Merabout signed the "Protocol of Cooperation between the Directorate of State Archives of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey and the National Archives Directorate of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria."

A "Commercial Agreement within the Scope of the Natural Gas Purchase and Sale Contract dated April 14, 1988, between BOTAŞ and Sonatrach" was signed by BOTAŞ Chairman and General Manager Abdulvahit Fidan and Sonatrach Chairman and General Manager Rachid Hachichi.

President of the Turkish Space Agency Yusuf Kıraç and President of the Algerian Space Agency Azzeddine Oussedik signed the "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Peaceful Use of Outer Space, Space Sciences, Technologies, and Applications between the Turkish Space Agency and the Algerian Space Agency."

Following the signing of the agreements, AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan and Algerian President Tebboune signed the "Joint Declaration of the Second Meeting of the High-Level Cooperation Council between the Republic of Turkey and the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria."
