In Diyarbakır, 12 suspects have been detained on allegations of preparing various devices to help candidates cheat during driving license exams.
In Diyarbakır, 12 suspects have been detained on allegations of preparing electronic devices to help individuals taking the Motor Vehicle Driver Trainee Exams cheat.
During a 4-month investigation coordinated by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and conducted by officers from the Provincial Police Department's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch, it was determined that there were suspects who provided visual and audio devices to candidates taking the Motor Vehicle Driver Trainee Exams, enabling them to cheat during the tests and obtaining financial gain by charging candidates for each exam.
In an operation codenamed "Whisper" carried out yesterday against the criminal organization, which included employees of private driving schools, 12 suspects were apprehended.
During the searches, specially modified mobile phones, special phone attachments and smartwatches, numerous mini in-ear headphones, batteries, special tweezers for ears, payment receipts, exam documents, planners, trainee documents, a handgun, soldering machines, cables, credit cards, e-signatures, and mobile Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices were seized.
Through these efforts, approximately 70 candidates were prevented from cheating.
Past exams have been placed under investigation.
