12punto continues to report on Cansu Bodur's 'wait': Taliban officials have made contact
31-year-old Turkish citizen Cansu Ndori, formerly known as Cansu Bodur, became a major topic of discussion in Turkey after recording a video from the house where she was being held against her will and subjected to violence in Afghanistan. 12punto reached out to Cansu's family and began following the process closely.
Our reporter Sinem Nazlı Demir reached out to Cansu and her family, bringing Cansu's voice to the public's attention, which prompted authorities to take action.
As the wait for Cansu, who is being held in Afghanistan, to be brought back to Turkey continues, 12punto has once again had the opportunity to speak with her.
12punto reporter Demir provided the following information regarding her new conversation:
"Following my conversation with Cansu today, she explained that officials within the Taliban have made contact with her.
The family's wait continues. I will continue to report as developments occur. There is no official statement yet.
For this reason, please do not rely on any information that does not come from official institutions!"
