The Social Democratic Populist Party (SHP) was established on June 28, and a new debate has begun on the political scene.

The SHP's founding committee was announced, but it did not include any politically well-known figures.

Links to former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu were suggested, but Kılıçdaroğlu issued a denial, calling it a "figment of the imagination." 12Punto asked SHP founder Zülfü Hamit Altın the questions everyone was curious about.

Let us recall what SHP founder Zülfü Hamit Altın said in the 12Punto interview...

Zülfü Hamit Altın, a cinema and theater actor, writer, and director, stated that he joined the party's establishment process at the suggestion of a friend from the founding committee.

Explaining that he was a delegate congress member for the SHP in the Eyüpsultan district during the period when the party was first established, Zülfü Hamit Altın described his decision to set out to re-establish the SHP today by saying, "I could not stomach the betrayal committed against Kılıçdaroğlu."

Regarding former CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, SHP founder Zülfü Hamit Altın had said, "When such an offer came to me, I told my friends, 'Reach out to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and make sure to bring him to the head of the party.' If such an formation exists, it excites me, but I also want to see Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu at its helm."
