13-year-old Serkan, whose mother was murdered, has been missing for 5 days

It has been learned that 13-year-old Serkan, one of the children of Elif Ceren Arslan, who was murdered in the Selçuklu district of Konya by a man she had rejected, has gone missing. There has been no news for 5 days from the child, who had been placed in a Children's Home under the Ministry of Family and Social Services.

The Children and Women First Association issued a statement regarding the matter on social media. In the statement made by the association, it was noted, "As an association, in our meetings with Children's Home officials, law enforcement, and the prosecutor's office, we learned that an investigation has been launched regarding our child's disappearance and that search efforts are ongoing."

The statement in which the Children and Women First Association issued a call for Serkan is as follows:

"A Call for Serkan, Who Disappeared from the Children's Home!

13-year-old Serkan, the son of Elif Ceren Arslan, a mother of four who was killed in Konya in September 2024 by a man she had rejected, is missing!

After Elif was murdered by the man she rejected, her children were placed in a Children's Home under the Ministry of Family and Social Services. However, Serkan has not been at the facility since last Friday. We learned that the child was missing today, on his birthday.

As an association, in our meetings with Children's Home officials, law enforcement, and the prosecutor's office, we learned that an investigation has been launched regarding our child's disappearance and that search efforts are ongoing.

We are here!

Just as we took on Elif Ceren's case, we will do everything in our power to ensure her son Serkan is found. We will follow the process to ensure our child is found safely.

Children and Women First Association"
