13-year-old Sevda Yılmaz, missing for 3 days in Istanbul, has been found: 'After the Narin incident...'

The funeral of 8-year-old Narin Güran, who went missing in Diyarbakır on August 21 and whose lifeless body was found yesterday in the bed of the Eğertutmaz stream, has been laid to rest.

Following the news of Narin Güran, another report of a missing person came from Istanbul.

According to the report by Fırat Fıstık from Sözcü, 13-year-old Sevda Yılmaz left her grandfather's house on Friday, September 6, saying, "I am going to my father's." Since her mother and father are separated, she was in her mother's custody. However, it was stated that she frequently visited her father as there were no issues between the parents.

'THERE WERE NO NEGATIVE CIRCUMSTANCES'

Sevda Yılmaz's father, Sedat Yılmaz, applied to the Avcılar Child Bureau. Sedat Yılmaz stated that his daughter's phone had been turned off since Friday and said the following in his statement:

"She left her grandfather's house in the morning saying she was going to her father's. I don't know what clothes she was wearing when she left the house. A situation like this had never happened before. There was no question of her running away from home. There is no negative situation within the family either. I want her to be searched for as a missing person, found, and delivered to her family."

Father Sedat Yılmaz said, "She was apparently with a friend on the coast, specifically between Esenyurt and Avcılar. Later, she left her friend as well, saying she was going to her father's. Normally, she would come and stay with me anyway."

'AFTER THE NARIN INCIDENT, I AM SUSPICIOUS OF EVERYONE'

Yılmaz said, "After the Narin incident, I am suspicious of everyone," and made an appeal to the authorities, noting the following:

"I went to the police station again this morning regarding the missing person notices. At the station, they keep telling me, 'She will be found, it will be taken care of.' But I feel like I am being brushed off. I demand that the authorities take action as soon as possible."

SEVDA HAS BEEN FOUND

The Istanbul Police Department announced around noon that Sevda had been found in the Kadıköy district of Istanbul.
