13-year-old chess player Yağız Kaan Erdoğmuş has earned the Grandmaster (GM) title from the International Chess Federation (FIDE).
According to a report by AA, the Turkish Chess Federation celebrated this major achievement by Erdoğmuş, who was born in Bursa in 2011.
In a statement, the federation said, "Our young star Yağız Kaan Erdoğmuş, who qualified for the GM title after completing all his norms in recent months, has had his new title approved by FIDE. We sincerely congratulate Yağız Kaan Erdoğmuş, the athlete who now holds the title of the world's youngest Grandmaster."
