14-year-old child subjected to abuse, family wanted to marry her off!
In Ağrı, a 14-year-old child was subjected to sexual abuse. The family wanted to marry the child off to her abuser. The court, however, applied a 'good conduct reduction' to the abuser.
In the Patnos district of Ağrı, a 14-year-old child was subjected to sexual abuse by her 18-year-old cousin, Yunus Emre Taşdemir. According to a report by İsmail Arı from Birgün, the incident came to light after some time. The victim's family wanted to marry the child off to the abuser in exchange for 1 million TL.
COURT GRANTED 'GOOD CONDUCT REDUCTION'!
The case was subsequently brought to the judiciary. The prosecutor claimed that the 14-year-old child and the abuser were "in a relationship." The court ignored three separate instances of abuse and sentenced 18-year-old Yunus Emre Taşdemir to 16 years in prison.
WILL BE RELEASED AFTER 5 YEARS
If the sentence of the abuser Yunus Emre Taşdemir is upheld, according to the current execution law and taking into account the time he has already spent in detention, he will be transferred to an open prison after serving 5 years in a closed prison. Taşdemir will then gradually reintegrate into society.
