15 July Martyrs Bridge closed to traffic

Some roads in Istanbul have been closed to vehicle traffic due to the 45th Istanbul Marathon taking place today.

According to the statement made by the Istanbul Governor's Office, the roads to be closed to traffic and alternative routes have been determined.

In this context, as of 03:00, the 15 July Martyrs Bridge and the following roads have been closed to traffic:

- Gayrettepe Melas Hotel front D-100 South entrance (mandatory direction will be given towards Yıldız Posta and Esentepe)

- Barbaros Boulevard Zincirlikuyu D-100 South entrance (mandatory direction will be given towards Beşiktaş)

- Sait Çiftçi junction top D-100 South entrance (traffic coming from Fulya will be directed towards Sarıyer)

- Barbaros Boulevard Sait Çiftçi D-100 South entrance (mandatory direction will be given towards Sarıyer)

- South Zincirlikuyu junction (traffic coming from the South O-1 highway to the 15 July Martyrs Bridge will be completely cut off and directed to the Büyükdere-Balmumcu/Levent-Sarıyer junction)

- North Uzunçayır Ramp Closure Point (Traffic from Sabiha Gökçen junctions will be diverted to the Çamlıca connecting road)

- North Ünalan Ataşehir Sabiha Gökçen junctions closure point (Traffic coming from Çamlıca Toll Booths will be diverted towards Ünalan Ataşehir Çamlıca)

- Kısıklı Street to D-100 North entry via Altunizade Bridge

- Mahiriz Street to D-100 North road entry via Altunizade Bridge

- Beylerbeyi Abdullahağa Street to 15 July Martyrs Bridge North entry

- Tophanelioğlu Street to D-100 North entry, Tunnel Entrance

- Entry from West Ataşehir Kızıl Begonya Street towards the North Ring Road Rıdvan Dedeoğlu Viaduct will be closed

ROADS TO BE CLOSED ON THE EUROPEAN SIDE AS OF 06:00

Due to the marathon, the roads closed to traffic on the European side as of 06:00, primarily the Galata Bridge in both directions, are as follows:

- Ragıp Gümüşpala Street

- Reşadiye Street (Sirkeci Coastal Road)

- Ankara Street

- Car ferry entrances

- Gülhane Park coastal lower and upper entrances and the road inside Gülhane Park

- Alayköşkü Street

- Hagia Sophia Square

- Alemdar Street

- At Meydanı Street

- Divanyolu Street

- Cankurtaran (No turns will be allowed toward the coast from Ahirkapi Street and Ahirkapi Pier Street)

- Catladikapi (No turns will be allowed toward the coast from Aksakal Street and Küçük Ayasofya Street)

- Kumkapi (No access to the coastal road will be allowed from Kumluk Street, Segah Street, and Isil Street)

- Kumkapi and Fish Market exits

- The coastal direction starting from the Gazi Mustafa Kemal Mudurnu junction turns

- Namık Kemal Street (will be closed starting from Küçüklanga Street)

- Langa Bostan Street

- Coastal Kennedy Street (between Sirkeci and Bakırköy)

- Genç Osman Street, coastal direction from Gazdallar junction

- Turns from Demirhane Street towards Kennedy Street

- Beşkardeşler Street, Beşkardeşler 4th Street, and the direction from Fişekhane to Coastal Kennedy Street

- Direction from Taşhan Street to Kennedy Street

- Entrances to Coastal Kennedy Street from Bakırköy Mor Menekşe Street, Ebuziya Street, Banyolar Street, and Halit Ziya Uşaklıgil Street and surrounding streets

- All exits from Ataköy 1st Section and Ataköy 9th Section junctions to Coastal Kennedy Street

- Entrances from Yeşilyurt Station Street to Rauf Orbay Street

- Entrances from Yeşilköy Lighthouse Street and New Airport streets to Rauf Orbay Street

- Rauf Orbay Street (will be closed starting from Havuzlu Junction)

- Atatürk Airport Street (Havuzlu Junction) towards Sirkeci direction

- Yeşilyurt Station Street (Havuzlu Junction) towards Sirkeci direction

- Eurasia Tunnel will be closed in both directions

- Ragıp Gümüşpala, Reşadiye, Kennedy, Rauf Orbay streets and all roads leading to these streets, Atatürk Boulevard Eminönü
