15 suspects arrested in investigation into Şile Municipality

Şile Mayor Özgür Kabadayı, among whom were 5 suspects who were arrested last July, the second wave of the investigation into Şile Municipality was carried out on December 23.the operation continued, and in light of new evidence and documents, 22 suspects were taken into custody.

By the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigation Bureau, regarding Şile Municipalityregarding the crimes of "formingan organization for the purpose of committing crimes", "extortion", "bribery" and "rigging bids" in theinvestigationconductedregarding thesecharges, in the second wave of theThe 22 suspectswho were taken into custody were referred to the Anadolu Courthouse following their statements at the police station. The 22 suspects' statement procedures at the prosecutor's office have been completed.

15 suspects were referred to the Duty Magistrate Judgeand were sent to prisonwhile 7 suspectswere released under judicial control.
