15 thousand contract teacher appointments made

The Ministry of National Education (MEB) has announced the results for the appointment of 15 thousand contract teachers.

The branch with the highest quota in the appointments was primary school teaching, with 4 thousand 378 positions.

Special education teaching, religious culture and ethics teaching, preschool teaching, and English teaching were among the other branches with the highest quotas.

According to MEB data, there are currently 1 million 34 thousand 564 teachers working in official educational institutions.

With today's appointment, this number will rise to 1 million 49 thousand 564.

AKP President Erdoğan also attended the meeting where the appointment draw was held.

The results can be queried via the MEB and e-Devlet teacher appointment results screen.

THEY WILL BEGIN THEIR DUTIES IN JANUARY

The application announcement regarding the recruitment of 15 thousand contract teachers and the distribution of quotas by branch were published on April 18, 2025, and applications were received between April 21 and May 5, 2025. The oral examination process for the employment of contract teachers was completed between June 23 and August 20, 2025.

Teacher candidates submitted their educational institution preference applications electronically between November 17 and November 21, 2025.

The appointed teachers will begin their duties as of January 19, 2026, following the completion of security investigations and archive research.
