Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 16 suspects who shared provocative content on social media following the operation against the ISIS terrorist organization in Yalova have been apprehended.
In a statement on his social media account, Minister Yerlikaya emphasized that the posts targeting the operation in question were intended to mislead the public, stating, "Posts on social media that are from unknown sources, manipulative, negative, and untrue are aimed at creating disinformation. Our Cyber Crimes Department and Security Department are continuing their work regarding those who publish such provocative content. We request that our citizens rely only on information provided by official sources."
3 POLICE OFFICERS MARTYRED
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya had previously announced that during the operation, which began at 02:00, ISIS members opened fire on security forces, and in the ensuing clash, 3 police officers were martyred, while 8 police officers and 1 night watchman were injured.
