16-year-old boy stabbed in the heart during a fight in Kocaeli

In the incident that took place on October 23 on 210 Street in the Özgürlük neighborhood of the Çayırova district, an argument broke out between two groups, which then escalated into a fight.

STABBED IN THE HEART

During the fight, 16-year-old Rıdvan Saygın was stabbed in the heart, and his friend, who was trying to break up the fight, was stabbed in the leg. As the two children collapsed to the ground covered in blood, the group involved in the incident fled the scene. Rıdvan Saygın, who was rushed to the hospital, could not be saved despite all interventions and lost his life. Saygın's funeral was held in his hometown of Düzce.

Police teams, who launched an investigation into the incident, apprehended 8 individuals under the age of 18 who had fled, identified as Ö.A., S.Ü., T. Y.E., A.K., B.Ç., H.İ., A.K.Ç., and A.D.

Of the suspects referred to the courthouse, Ö.A. was arrested and sent to prison, while the other 7 individuals were released under judicial control conditions.
