17 new detentions in church attack!
17 suspects who are members of the terrorist organization ISIS and linked to the attack at the Santa Maria Church have been captured in an operation centered in Istanbul.
As a result of its intelligence and risk analysis, the MİT has captured 17 individuals who were identified as operating in Turkey on behalf of the so-called Khorasan Province of ISIS, the ISIS structure in Afghanistan, and who were assessed to be the perpetrators of or linked to the attack carried out on the Santa Maria Italian Church on December 28.
During the operations conducted at 23 addresses in Istanbul, Kocaeli, and Yalova, 26 thousand dollars and approximately 350 grams of gold were seized during searches.
