18 people staging 'Standing Man' protest detained: Tense moments in Taksim Square

Attorney Kerim Bütün from the Voice of Lawyers Initiative stated that they are standing with the detained individuals and used the following expressions:
"The young people wanted to stage a 'Standing Human' protest in front of the AKM. They were detained for standing. So much for advanced democracy."
