2.5 million TL fraud with fake medical reports! 8 people arrested
In Kırıkkale, 8 out of 18 suspects detained on allegations of issuing irregular medical reports have been arrested.
8 suspects arrested in "irregular medical report" operation in Kırıkkale
Following their processing at the police station, the suspects were referred to the courthouse. Among them, doctors Y.B. and M.H.A., along with O.A, O.C, S.B, B.G, G.C., and M.G., were arrested by the presiding judge, while the others were released under judicial control conditions.
Following a tip-off that irregular medical reports were being issued at a public hospital in the city, the Provincial Police Department's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch teams, under the coordination of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, had detained 12 suspects the day before yesterday. They later expanded the investigation and apprehended 6 more suspects in Ankara and Istanbul yesterday.
The suspects, including doctors Y.B, O.S, and M.H.A., as well as O.A, U.D, M.A, S.K, G.C, E.Y, O.C, H.M, F.A, F.G.A, S.B, M.G, U.T, S.D, and B.G., were referred to the courthouse after undergoing health checks once their processing at the police station was completed.
It was learned that the suspects, who include doctors, civil servants, retirees, security guards, technicians, teachers, private sector employees, and housewives, had generated 2.5 million liras in illicit income through nearly 300 irregular reports they prepared.
Meanwhile, efforts to apprehend the suspect doctor E.B. are ongoing.
