2.5 million TL theft shock for doctor... Caught thieves released

Two female thieves who entered the apartment of Dr. İnci Yurt in Samsun stole 2.5 million liras worth of jewelry. The women, identified as S.Y. (24) and B.V. (20), who have over 30 criminal records each, were released by the court under judicial control conditions.

According to the report by İlhan Demircioğlu from Sabah, two female thieves in the İlkadım district of Samsun entered the apartment of Dr. İnci Yurt (55) disguised as beggars and robbed the home while wearing surgical masks and gloves.

The thieves opened the safe inside the house and stole 2 million 500 thousand liras worth of custom-designed diamonds and precious stones, along with 10,000 euros. The women, S.Y. (24) and B.V. (20), were caught after police tracked both the apartment's security camera footage and street surveillance footage.

RELEASED UNDER JUDICIAL CONTROL

The two women, who have over 30 criminal records for theft, were released by the court under judicial control conditions. İnci Yurt, whose home was robbed, submitted a list of the stolen items to the police and stated the following:

"I live with my mother. This is an apartment building where all our relatives live. My mother had gone to the village to offer condolences for the funeral of a relative. People who knew that no one was home came and carried out the robbery. The safe was in my room. The key was in my mother's room, under the laundry cabinet. The thieves, who used surgical gloves, took my custom-designed diamonds worth 2 million 500 thousand liras and 10,000 euros from the safe and fled. The police found the two thieves through camera footage. There is even footage of the place where they changed the clothes they wore when they entered our house, but they are free now. Our stolen belongings are nowhere to be found either."
