20 people wanted with Interpol red notices captured in Istanbul
The police processing of 20 individuals wanted internationally and detained in Istanbul has been completed. The suspects have been taken to removal centers for deportation.
Following the "Kafes-31" operation, 20 suspects who were wanted with Interpol (International Criminal Police Organization) red notices and captured in Istanbul have been handed over to removal centers for deportation procedures.
According to the report by Anadolu Agency, the police processing of 20 suspects, who were wanted with red notices for various crimes, has been completed as part of the "Kafes-31" operation organized by the General Directorate of Security.
Following their processing, the suspects were taken to removal centers in the Arnavutköy and Selimpaşa districts to be sent to the countries where they are wanted.
Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced in a post on his social media account on January 19 that 42 suspects, who were wanted with Interpol red notices by 12 countries, had been captured in the "Kafes-31" operation, which was carried out simultaneously in 13 provinces.
