20-person brawl over 'dirty look' in Aksaray

In a brawl involving 20 people at an establishment serving alcohol in Aksaray, which started over a 'dirty look,' 6 people were injured, and the intoxicated individuals also attempted to assault police officers. The situation escalated when the suspects, ignoring police warnings, struck the officers.

20-person brawl over 'dirty look' in Aksaray

The incident occurred around 01:00 at an establishment serving alcohol located on 3502 Street in the Bayrambaba neighborhood. According to information obtained, an argument broke out between two groups at the venue due to a 'dirty look' issue. As the argument turned into a fight, the two groups clashed, and when customers from other tables joined in, approximately 20 people were involved in the brawl. 

After the venue owner reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center, numerous police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.

Arriving at the scene in a short time, police teams intervened in the fight and separated the individuals.

In the fight where 6 people were injured due to battery, police teams wanted to take the suspects into custody after both sides filed complaints against each other. 

THEY STRUCK A POLICE OFFICER

While an argument ensued between the suspects, who did not want to be taken into custody, and the police, the situation escalated after 2 individuals struck a police officer. In the incident, which was also intervened in by Provincial Police Department Public Security Branch Manager Serkan Özbaş, the suspects caused difficult moments for the police teams. 

5 suspects, identified as Hasan K. (35), İzzet K. (35), Fatih K. (29), Oğuzhan K. (27), and Ekrem K. (26), who struck the police officer and caused trouble, were neutralized with pepper spray and taken into custody with their hands cuffed behind their backs.

After receiving treatment at the Aksaray Training and Research Hospital Emergency Department, the suspects were taken to the Aksaray Police Station to have their statements taken. The investigation launched by the Aksaray Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the incident is ongoing.
