21 historical artifacts seized in suspicious vehicle in Kütahya
Teams from the Kütahya Provincial Police Department's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch (KOM) seized 21 historical artifacts during a search of a suspicious vehicle and the individual inside.
Kütahya Provincial Police Department KOM Branch Directorate teams, acting on field intelligence, stopped a vehicle deemed suspicious. During the search of the vehicle and the individual identified as H.A. (62), authorities seized a total of 21 items, including 3 muzzle-loading pistols, 1 revolver, 1 rifle believed to date back to the Ottoman period, 3 swords, 1 dagger, 2 trays, 2 coins, 1 marble piece, 6 paper documents with Ottoman inscriptions, and 1 measuring instrument part believed to be from an ancient period, all of which are considered to be historical artifacts.
It was reported that legal proceedings have been initiated against the detained suspect.
